Chain of custody

Authorship, attribution and provenance preserved across the conservation record.

A chain of custody is the documented sequence of authorship and stewardship for a record. The platform preserves attribution at every level — observation, photograph, intervention, issued report — so that successor practitioners can follow the provenance of each finding.

Attribution

Each substantive record carries its author and the moment of capture.

Stewardship

Project access is scoped to authorised practitioners. Access events are preserved as part of the project record.

Frequently asked

Why does chain of custody matter for conservation work?
Because conservation reports have evidential weight. A reader needs to know who recorded what, when, and under what conditions.
